Meet Ayden Kohut
Fueled by Passion. Driven by Purpose.
From his earliest memories, Ayden Kohut’s world has revolved around cars. As a baby, he would line up his matchbox cars in perfect rows, memorizing every curve and detail. By the time he could talk, he was already naming models, memorizing stats, and falling asleep each night with a car in his hand.
His passion was no accident. His parents, Yuki and Pete, both shared a lifelong love of cars and motorsport… Yuki grew up watching Formula 1, while Pete, raised in Michigan’s “Motor City,” had an early fascination with automotive performance. Together, they nurtured Ayden’s natural curiosity, attending races and exploring the world of motorsport as a family.
Everything changed during the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023. Inside the McLaren and O’Gara dealership at the Wynn Hotel, Ayden discovered a professional-grade racing simulator hosted by Cool Performance, a company owned by Oliver Norris, brother of McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris. What began as a casual try quickly turned into something extraordinary. Competing against seasoned drivers, Ayden’s natural talent became immediately clear, his times rivaled and even surpassed those of professional racers, shocking the simulator instructors who assumed he had years of karting experience.
Encouraged by that experience, Ayden and his family reached out to Cool Performance for further training and guidance. That connection led him to pursue real-world racing for the first time, skipping the traditional karting route entirely and going straight to the high-performance world of Formula 4.
In November 2024, Ayden completed the Skip Barber Racing School’s 3-Day Formula 4 Program at Circuit of the Americas, followed by the Advanced 2-Day Course in early 2025, earning his Full Competition License. His natural focus, adaptability, and technical understanding of cars impressed instructors and mentors alike.
Soon after, Ayden tested with Kiwi Motorsport in Cresson, Texas… one of the premier F4 teams in the United States… and competed in his first Formula Junior event on the West Coast. Despite being one of the newest drivers on the grid, he finished just shy of the podium after a strong qualifying and a competitive run.
In July 2025, Ayden tested the new generation Formula 4 car as part of his preparation for the upcoming season with Kiwi Motorsport. Shortly after, his own Formula 4 car… built to exact FIA specifications… was completed and delivered, marking a major milestone in his development as an American racing driver. With his sights now firmly set on the F4 U.S. Championship, Ayden continues to train, test, and refine his craft… proving that passion, discipline, and relentless drive can carve a path forward, even without the traditional start in karting.
Today, Ayden stands among the next generation of American motorsport talent… a young driver fueled by curiosity, grounded in gratitude, and determined to make his mark on the world stage.
